Grim Empire presents – Abstract Flaws Fatal Realities

Komrade of the group Brothers Grim has joined forces with fellow Grim Empire member Stripes to compile Abstract Flaws Fatal Realities. The 7 track EP is being released online for free and features production from Sonik, Ja Oan and Ebeats out of the Netherlands. The album has cuts by DJ Nato and DJ CreeAzn. The EP is an underground sounding project full of braggart boom bap rap and will be released on June 26th, 2010.

There was a 2 month long contest taking place HHAOE.ca (Hip Hop Artists Of Edmonton), in which the first 20 songs that were entered would go head to head with each other weekly in a tournament, to see who would be crowned Edmonton best song. Contestants would have to get their fans to register to the site, and comment on which song had their vote. When it was all said and done, one song was left standing: “Paranoia” by Edmonton MC/Producer Jae Maze

The song is about a character that’s driving through the streets in Edmonton while paranoid of getting pulled over by the police or getting caught up with enemies in the streets. Its a descriptive story track that paints a vivid picture to the listener, allowing them to feel like they’re actually the character in the story.

The track is produced by Hip Hop In The Park ‘09 Beat Battle Champion Joey Dats and is available for download here
